Welcome to

Offering peace and tranquility in the heart of Dordogne
Relax and recuperate
A gîte holiday in Dordogne
Dordogne is renowned for its pictureque landscapes, lush nature, serene rivers, and ancient villages, not to mention a sumpetuous cuisine and world-beating wines.
Whether you are drawn to Dordogne's natural beauty, rich history, or food culture, it offers a captivating slice of traditional French life. And there is no better way to experience the region than to stay in one of our beautiful stone "gîte" (rural holiday home).
Here at La BelleView, we have two very high-quality, newly renovated, stunning gîtes available, helping to make your trip enjoyable, memorable, and above all relaxing.
A taste of rural France
Le Gîte
Le Gîte, hosting up to 4 people, is part of a 200 year-old stone farmhouse in the charming hamlet of Montaut. Extensively rebuilt in 2020, Le Gîte has been completely renovated to a very high standard and boasts an amazing 4-star tourist rating from
the French authorities. This is a testament to the high-quality,
superbly-equipped, modern holiday accommodation that Le Gîte
offers, all in a calm rural
setting.
Amazing history
La Boulangerie
La Boulangerie is a new addition at la BelleView and is the result of a complete rebuild and refurbishment of the old village bakery on our property. In golden yellow stone, and still keeping the shape of the old bread-oven tower, this 1-bedroom gîte
for two people is supremely cozy, beautfully finished, and commands gorgeous views of the surrounding countryside.
A little about Rick &Bruno
Belgium & Britain in France
We are an Anglo-Belgian couple and moved from Brussels to Montaut (Mont Aut in Occitan, the local language) in 2022 to
start a new life in tourism. Bruno has a background in finance and
tourism, and Rick in PR and marketing. We are both keen linguists
(English, French, Russian, some Dutch, German, Spanish and even some Turkish) and
nature lovers, and committed to helping guests get the most out of their holiday
in this delightful corner of France.
Our motivation for moving to the Dordogne is to lead a quieter life and to connect more to nature. It's a work in progress, but our goal is to rely more on renewable energy (thanks to our solar panels); to make more of what we use on a daily basis; to grow or produce more of our food; and encourage biodiversity in our garden.
